The first seven days

  • Day 1Text a friend the funniest small moment from your week, even if it only made you snort quietly.
  • Day 2Watch one short comedy clip on your lunch break and let yourself laugh out loud if it comes.
  • Day 3Start a "made me laugh" list on your phone or a scrap of paper and add one entry before bed tonight.
  • Day 4Ask someone at dinner what made them laugh lately, and listen for the whole story.
  • Day 5Read the comic strips in a newspaper or online over your morning coffee.
  • Day 6Put on a pair of your silliest socks today and let them be your little secret.
  • Day 7Tell a child a knock-knock joke and let them tell you one back, however little sense it makes.

Further into the year

The to-dos keep changing as the year goes on. A few from later in this theme:

  • Day 30Leave yourself a funny note on the bathroom mirror to find tomorrow morning.
  • Day 60Look for a cloud shaped like something absurd and point it out to someone nearby.
  • Day 120Spend a work break describing your weekend plans to a coworker as if they were an action movie trailer.
  • Day 240Read aloud the oddest instructions you can find on a product label at home.
  • Day 365End the day by telling someone the funniest small thing you noticed.

How a challenge works

A Theraglee challenge is a theme with one small to-do for every day of a year. You choose how long yours runs, anywhere from a week to the full year, and each day you get the next to-do: something that takes a few minutes and fits inside an ordinary day. Tick it off when it is done. Nothing is scored and nothing is lost if you miss a day; the next to-do is simply waiting when you come back.

Challenges come with a free Theraglee account, which never asks for a card. Your progress stays private to you.
