The first seven days

  • Day 1Choose what to eat for breakfast within thirty seconds of opening the fridge, then enjoy it without second-guessing.
  • Day 2Pick out tomorrow's outfit tonight in under two minutes and leave it on a chair, finished.
  • Day 3Write down one decision you have been circling, then set a deadline for it on your calendar.
  • Day 4Decide which errand to run first today by picking the one closest to your front door.
  • Day 5Give yourself a five-minute timer for a small choice today and commit when the bell rings.
  • Day 6Settle on a "good enough" lunch order today instead of searching for the perfect one.
  • Day 7Narrow one open choice down to just two options, crossing the rest off a list.

Further into the year

The to-dos keep changing as the year goes on. A few from later in this theme:

  • Day 30Name the worst realistic outcome of a choice you are weighing, and write how you would handle it.
  • Day 60Ask yourself what you are afraid of losing in a current choice, and name it on paper.
  • Day 120Pick a hobby class or activity to try from two options and sign up today.
  • Day 240Make one decision while standing up today, and notice whether it feels quicker.
  • Day 365Make one decision today simply because you can, and enjoy how light it feels to decide.

How a challenge works

A Theraglee challenge is a theme with one small to-do for every day of a year. You choose how long yours runs, anywhere from a week to the full year, and each day you get the next to-do: something that takes a few minutes and fits inside an ordinary day. Tick it off when it is done. Nothing is scored and nothing is lost if you miss a day; the next to-do is simply waiting when you come back.

Challenges come with a free Theraglee account, which never asks for a card. Your progress stays private to you.
