The first seven days

  • Day 1Clear one surface completely, a table, a counter, a nightstand, and wipe it down.
  • Day 2Empty one drawer, keep what you use, and put the rest in a bag.
  • Day 3Make your bed and open the curtains.
  • Day 4Take out the trash and recycling from every room.
  • Day 5Wash whatever is in the sink and leave it empty tonight.
  • Day 6Pick up everything on the floor of one room and put it where it belongs.
  • Day 7Sort one pile of mail or paper. Recycle, file, or act.

Further into the year

The to-dos keep changing as the year goes on. A few from later in this theme:

  • Day 30Walk through your home and notice every corner you have cleared during this challenge. Choose one to keep clear every day.
  • Day 60Wipe the headboard and dust the top of the bed frame.
  • Day 120Go through your gym bag: wash what needs washing and refill what is empty.
  • Day 240Straighten the laundry basket in the bathroom and take it to the machine if it is full.
  • Day 365Clear your handbag of old lip balms and toss the ones that have melted.

How a challenge works

A Theraglee challenge is a theme with one small to-do for every day of a year. You choose how long yours runs, anywhere from a week to the full year, and each day you get the next to-do: something that takes a few minutes and fits inside an ordinary day. Tick it off when it is done. Nothing is scored and nothing is lost if you miss a day; the next to-do is simply waiting when you come back.

Challenges come with a free Theraglee account, which never asks for a card. Your progress stays private to you.
